I have noticed that the last few times that I have gone to a yoga class, I get a stomach ache at the beginning. I am beginning to wonder if it’s nerves. I get nervous when I have someone behind me and someone in front of me. I get nervous that I’m going to cut one during downward facing dog or that I have a hole in my pants and not know it. I also get nervous that the person in front of me will cut one or have a hole in their pants. It is times like these during the first five minute meditation that become a true awakening of how wonderful of a life I have that farting in yoga has become a real fear to obsess over.
I do love yoga, though and I would like to share this tip. Stretching helps to lessen the hardening of arteries, which happens over time as you age. A simple bending and touching of your toes is considered stretching, just make sure no one is behind you.
